I had ordered the other black clock previously which was a bit larger and more substantial. When that one was not available, I ordered 2 of the smaller Braun alarm clocks. They are tantamount to junk and even when let, you can't read the time. A waste of money times 2. If I could reach them by phone, I would, but alas couldn't find a #.
I love this little clock. Makes me feel safer, it's nice and small, I can turn the light off if I'd like and it's good looking too!!
I bought the continuous backlit analogue clock and I couldn't be happier with it! I could't figure out how to get the backlight on until I readjusted the batteries. But before I figured it out I had reached out to customer service and they got back to me quickly. I love this clock so much and it helping me with me in my circadian reset. I might buy another one for my friend.
I bought this clock for mornings when I want to know what time it is but don't want to go grab my phone because I would end up scrolling through social media in bed - very bad habit. This clock is very cute too! I had to learn how to use the alarm function on an analog clock but everything works well.
These clocks are all marvelous and so very versatile. The battery is DC and the clock is run by a tiny motor. Very little electric field generated, tough to measure.
To answer another reviewer's question, even when you put your cellphone in airplane mode, all the digital devices inside are operating and processing algorithms at a rate set by internal clocks derived from oscillators. These clocks are alternating pulses of varying widths, generating Electro-Magnetic Radiation, and even when the power switch is in the off position. This is so it can wake up quickly and on command. Did you ever notice how your cell phone battery discharges even when the phone is off?
