Wireless safety standard not safe FCC

Wireless Radiation Safety Standards Are Not Safe Says New Study

We're getting too much cellphone and wireless exposure.  Plain and Simple.  New research looks at the biological effects of man made wireless EMF and finds limits that are safe.

Did you know that the FCC's limits for safety are outdated and just plain UNSAFE?   Here's why, the FCC uses a thermal-only focus.  It actually assumes harm only happens when tissue heats up.  And yes, heating our bodies with invisible radiation certainly isn't good, but the science shows it's doing so much more to our bodies.

Study after study links exposure to a wide variety of health effects because this EMF radiation affects us at the cellular level. These health affects include cancer, but also extend to infertility, autism, insomnia and anxiety.

The International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields, ICBE-EMF has this announcement on their website:

Current Cell Phone and Wireless Radiation Limits Fail to Protect Against Cancer and Reproductive Harm, New Study Finds

Researchers conclude that current wireless radiation exposure limits are at least 200 times too high to safely protect people.

A new peer-reviewed study published in the journal Environmental Health reveals that current safety limits for radiofrequency radiation (RFR)–emitted by cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, smart meters, and cell towers—are severely inadequate to protect public health.

The ICBE-EMF identifies specific biological markers—including 8-OHdG, MDA, and antioxidant depletion—that indicate stress responses at radiation levels currently deemed safe by the FCC. These markers also extend to neurological disruptions, such as increased glucose metabolism, along with reproductive and genetic changes.

The study concluded that "Wireless radiation safety limits are at least 200 times too high to protect people from cancer risks . . .  and that Current FCC and ICNIRP public exposure limits need to be reduced by at least 200 times to maintain an acceptable environmental cancer risk of 1 in 100,000."

Taking results from a $30 million U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) cancer study, the researchers applied standard procedures developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and found that current RFR exposure limits are at least 200 times too high to protect us from cancer risk with 8 hours per day of exposure. Also, based on other research, RFR limits were 24 times too high to protect against reproductive impacts.

FCC exposure limits are not safe

This report really is so important right now.  The antiquated FCC limits are based on animal studies from the 80's that assumed we would only have short term exposure to cell-phones.  So so very different than the hours we're exposed to pulse, modulated man made wireless radiation today.

Plus, as you'll see from the chart I made,  the ICBE-EMF research points out that we should have  have different limits for kids and pregnant women.

The new report incorporates knowledge from earlier studies that you'll find on their website: Scientific Evidence Invalidates Health Assumptions Underlying the FCC and INIRP Exposure Limit and Determinations for Radiofrequency Radiation: Implications for 5G  cites so many studies that it reviewed. Their detailed work relies on a many many peer-reviewed research studies to support the conclusions.

This important work from the Joel Moskowitz, Ronald Melnick and the ICBE-EMF.  Until the FCC takes this seriously--and my health and your health seriously,  please reduce your exposure.

Be Safe and Be Well!
