It's way-way crazy that this has to be a distressing digital factoid, but bottom line:

Cover your Camera.  On any and all of your devices!

My daughter is all about the selfie Cam cover now. She slides it open for Selfies or FaceTime.  She's in control of her Camera's Privacy Please!

She told me how she recently took her phone and set it next to the shampoo bottles as she got in the shower- only to later that day get an ad for that SAME Shampoo on her social feed. 

These Camera Covers are very simple, very thin and very effective.
