Does Your Oura Ring Give Off EMF Radiation? Our Video Shows How Much and How To Turn It Off
To be honest, at Tech Wellness we aren't big fans of digital fitness and health devices. They want too much information about you and THEN they want to track you everywhere you go. To top it off, the device stays on 24/7 pulsing you with EMF radiation!
The Oura Ring gives off EMF radiation constantly and emits that Tech Toxin directly on your body.
Actually, all wireless wearables subject you to invisible EMF energy. With some fitness trackers and wearables, it can be quite a lot of EMF (I'm talking to you Apple Watch!) and other times it's less.
But the Oura Ring has a fabulous advantage over other competitors: You can pretty easily shut off the Bluetooth energy pulsing from the Oura Ring!
Makes so much sense!
In this video, we'll demonstrate the EMF coming off the OURA Ring and then we'll show you how it decreases to zero once you order it to through the iOS app. This video points out how important it is for us all to understand the amount of radiation coming from all our devices: our personal tech, our WiFi in our homes and offices, and just out in the world.

Here's The Step By Step On How To Turn Off BlueTooth and Nasty Wireless EMF Coming From Your Oura Ring
- Turn on the Oura Ring app (You don't need WiFi enabled or cell signal however, BlueTooth must be on to communicate with the Oura Ring and turn the Bluetooth EMF off)
- Go to the Home tab
- On the upper right hand corner tap the Ring
- You'll see a slider tab that says Ring Airplane Mode > Toggle that slider
- You'll then get a Pop Up that asks you to confirm that you want Airplane Mode On > Tap "Turn On Airplane Mode"
And Your Oura Ring is NOW EMF Radiation FREE!
You can confirm that there is No EMF coming from your Oura Ring with any of our fab EMF meters!

We love this handy, but powerful personal RF Radiation Detector. Unlike any other wireless radiation meter in its price range, we think this easy to read radiation detector is simply divine as it lets you see and hear the wireless energy in your space.
Wear your Oura Ring EMF-free for as long as 7 days in a row! That's how long Oura will continuously keep tracking and taking your data while the Oura ring is in airplane mode.
But Remember- every time you charge that Oura Ring, The Invisible Bluetooth EMF radiation automatically turns back on!
To download your data, simply put the ring back on the charger and turn your Oura App on and check your stats.
Whenever I wear the Oura Ring it's on airplane mode. But when I want to download the data, I make sure my phone is on a stand and I use a stylus. That way, I'm not touching the phone and all it's Bluetooth energy and I've got a bit of distance (which helps lower my exposure!)
Turn On Oura For To Download Exercise and Heart Rate Data From the Ring To Your Phone.
Oura reminds us that, "If you experience connection issues, simply close and re-open the Oura app."
I find that when I keep my ring in Airplane Mode for several days, it tends to take a bit longer for my data to sync up. But it's no big deal and totally worth a few seconds more of reconnecting.
Please be aware of the EMF coming from all your wireless devices. The absolute best way to know for sure how much EMF radiation you're being exposed to is with an EMF Meter.
I think every family should have one. Or every neighborhood at least, so you can share with your friends. We have tested all the most popular meters out there and here are our favorites:

I’m not sure how the Garmin’s work now, but when I had one and tried to turn off Bluetooth it DID disconnect my Bluetooth connection with the phone, BUT the Bluetooth signal stayed on ON the watch. Unfortunately the only way to know is test it with a meter and see if you pick up EMF readings when it’s
“off”
i read the blog post about the oura ring – i have a garmin forerunner 235 – - is it the same premise, if i turn off wifi + bluetooth, there would be no EMF? thank you!
