If you found this page, you’re like almost everyone who’s just beginning to explore EMF protection—you’ve got questions. You want to understand what EMF protection really means and what you can do to reduce your exposure.

Some of the answers you'll read in this series will surprise you. They may even be different from what you’ve seen elsewhere online. This article is Part One of a series where I answer the most common questions we are getting lately about EMF protection. Here’s what I want you to remember first:

1. What you DO matters--more than what you BUY. Behavior and awareness (on your part) will always beat unproven gadgets and gimmicks (that you buy online). I know that sounds counterintuitive and you're probably also thinking that I'm probably going to be asking you to do a ton of work, but just go with me for a minute.

2. Distance is your best friend.The simplest, smartest way to reduce EMF exposure is to increase your distance from sources of radiation—especially Wi-Fi routers and smartphones. 

3. Small, consistent steps make a big difference.You don’t have to be perfect—just intentional.

👣 The Most Effective Tech Wellness Ways for EMF Protection Are FREE. 

  • Keep your smartphone on Airplane Mode as much as possible.  I want you to work towards going off airplane to check texts or calls or emails and then right back on airplane mode as soon as you're finished. This may seem tedious to you right now, but give it a try.  Just like everything else in life, it will get easier the more you do it! And having your phone on in your pocket our your purse is one of your biggest exposures.
  • When you sleep, keep the phone out of your bedroom entirely. Charge it in the bathroom or the kitchen.  I promise, you aren't going to miss anything while you're sleeping and if you need an alarm clock, use an analog one or turn your alert sound up to maximum in the other room. You'll hear it.
  • NEVER, EVER put your phone up to your head.  Would you put your head next to a running microwave?  Probably not.  Use the speaker phone or a wired headset.  New models give off so much EMF compared to earlier models that it is stunning.  You can see this over and over again on our YouTube Channel.  
  • In the car, turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular—if you can. Newer vehicles don't like you to be able to turn off EMF sources. I think they think you want and expect it. But don't forget, always on, means always tracking you. So disable everything you can, e.g. do you really need Onstar?   Disable what you can and then connect your phone with a hard-wired cable instead. And then keep it as far away as you can in the car.  You can do almost everything your phone can do when its hard wired and on airplane mode.  Just download podcasts, map destinations, etc. before you go.
  • Skip the wireless earbuds and digital watches. Your brain and body will thank you.  One of the most forwarded videos we've ever produced (we think it's mostly wives to husbands and moms to teenagers!) is this one that shows how much radiation is coming out the earbuds and going straight into your brain.

  • At home, turn off your Wi-Fi at night or whenever it’s not in use.  And if your WiFi is less than twenty feet away from you or your family, move it or move them.  EMF drops off as you move away from it.  And NEVER put a WiFi under your desk... or your kid's bed, or next to your dog. (all places we have heard about)

These habits are simple, free, and are important to you reducing EMF exposure for you and your family.

Unfortunately, the EMF protection world is full of products that make big claims with little or no science. The worst part is you can easily wind up with a false sense of security and actually INCREASING your EMF exposure!

Avoid:

  • Partial shielding products — phone cases or blankets that only cover part of the body.

  • Stickers, chips, harmonizers, and crystals — impressive marketing, zero credible studies.

  • “Quantum” or “biofield” devices — pseudoscience instead of transparent testing.
