If you’ve ever tried teaching breathing techniques to a toddler, you know keeping their attention can be the most difficult part. That’s why I love this app - it’s engaging, easy to understand and opens up the door for great conversations about emotions! Sesame Street created this app to tell the story of a frustrated ‘monster’, who learns how to calm himself down. I love that this app is a ‘‘choose your own adventure’ style and the stories last only a few minutes. I tested this app out on some wild 3 year olds and I’ve never seen them so calm and focused on anything.
I’d recommend sitting with your child while they play this app so you can talk through it with them, and even help them think of times they’ve been upset and can breathe, think, and do!
